GSR tool holders with centering eye

Our tool holders with ratchet and centering eye ensure a secure hold and a straight start. The recessed spirit level in the head helps you align the tap vertically, for a perpendicular start and clean threads from M 3 to M 20.

We have further developed our tool holders with precisely matched components and deburred edges, making them comfortable and safe to handle. Every batch is tested with at least 5,000 ratchet cycles at constant torque.

Good to know

What matters is the square on the tool shank: it must be within the clamping range. Suitable tools:

The thread sizes are a guide for hand taps to DIN 352. Taps to other standards, for example machine taps to DIN 371 or DIN 376, may have different square sizes. In that case, measure the square.

  • Drill the tap hole according to the tap drill size table and countersink it slightly
  • Start the tap straight to the hole, with no side pressure for the first turns
  • Use cutting oil, especially on steel and stainless steel
  • In blind holes and tough material, turn back briefly from time to time to break the chips. With a ratchet, simply switch direction
  • Tighten the locking nut firmly so that the tool does not slip
